ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND ON SITE STREAMS CLEAN-UP:

The Advantages of this method are as follows:


• The algae population of lakes and rivers will be reduced because of the reduction of nutrient concentration.
• Beaches could be open for swimming in the summer because of the reduction of E. coli, fecal coliforms and total coliforms to acceptable levels in accordance with recreational water quality standards.
• Partial removal of E. coli bacteria in pre-treated raw water going to intake water supply. As a result, the risk of E. coli and other pathogenic bacteria in drinking water taken from rivers and creeks can be curbed.
• The concentration of toxins, including heavy metals will be decreased in rivers, creeks and lakes.
• An improvement of the habitat for aquatic life will be observed after the elimination of oil products from river and creek water surfaces.
